Jumbo Policy

  • No responsibility is accepted for non-delivery.

  • Whilst every effort will be made to despatch on the promised delivery date, no responsibility can be accepted for late deliveries.

  • Goods are railed at Buyer’s risk and any claim for loss or damage in transit must be made by the Purchaser from the Railways.

  • No claims will be recognised by the Seller upon any goods or merchandise dispatched against the order unless made within fourteen days after receipt of the goods by the Buyer.

  • Sellers are not responsible for any loss or damage which may arise from civil commotion, legislative or administrative restrictions or control, strikes, fires, accidents, or the breakdown or failure of machinery, or any other similar contingencies which could have been foreseen or avoided by the Sellers, and which may affect the production of delivery as soon as reasonably possible after their cessation. The Sellers shall in no circumstances be answerable for consequential damages.

  • Whenever payment is to be effected by Buyer and the Bill is not met on the due date, the whole amount owing, including amounts on Bills which have not yet matured, shall become due and owing forthwith.

  • Interest shall be payable on all amounts outstanding at the going Bank Rate per annum from the date such amounts become due until the date of payment.

  • All goods dispatched are calculated from the date of Invoice. Discount will only be recognised when Bills are signed and returned before the due date.

  • All goods are dispatched F.O.R. Pietermaritzburg.

  • In the event of any litigation arising out of the sale of these goods or in respect of payment thereof, the Buyer hereby consents to the jurisdiction of the court of Pietermaritzburg.
